Problem-Based Learning (PBL) is a student-centred learning method that provides students with problem-solving, self-directed learning, and collaborative learning skills. Nowadays PBL has become an increasingly popular method of learning in many professional fields as well as in university education. With this approach students are more involved in, and responsible for, their own learning, working in groups, and take responsibility for solving professional problems. The small group setting used in PBL encourages an inquisitive and detailed look at all issues, concepts and principles contained within the problem.
The discussion involves using an instructional software application as a supplementary to a class room delivery, that once it runs through the Internet it provides a Web-based Multimedia environment that supports PBL approach. |
