The Cornell University Library has created digital resources based on distinctive portions of its holdings and in cooperation with international partners. These Digital Collections are freely available to students and citizens of the world and can be effectively incorporated into teaching, learning, and research.
Similarly, the Cornell University Library supports electronic publishing capabilities that disseminate research in physics, mathematics, and computer science globally and has developed an Open Source Digital Publishing System, DPubS, enabling universities, independent publishers, and scholarly societies to develop their own electronic publishing capabilities. Through such initiatives, academic libraries can contribute significantly to the worldwide availability of invaluable educational and research sources.
